Welcome to

Signalwatch

We are a data analytics platform documenting a pioneering method of analysing The Shadow Network. The cyber-enabled network have a common vulnerability, mismatched name filings in their Companies House records, that can cause systemic issues and enable serious crime. As a result of our data driven approach we have mapped out the high profile network that has a global presence and daunting societal impact.

Key Concepts

We have analysed thousands of companies and identified over 100 vulnerable companies with numerous connecting directors creating a sophisticated network. To properly analyse this network we are developing an AI  powered tool to automate scanning and OSINT mapping. This tool is open sourced on Github and allows us to analyse the global impact of identified companies. We offer deep insights into how the vulnerability can be used by The UK Shadow Network to steal and launder money on our Resources page. We are obligated to report any reasonable suspicion of criminality to prompt official investigations and record correction. our actions can be audited using our activity log.

We use Companies House and other OSINT tools to provide powerful insights into shadow networks dosumenting our research transparently on our Resources Page

We have identified vulnerabilities in a number of high profile companies that can be examined on our Company List. Initially we focused our analysis on reputable companies in financial services.

We have built on our initial sample by analysing connected directors and company agents while monitoring current affairs.

We have identified over 100 companies with vulnerabilities in key industries including Banking , Insurance , technology and more.

The core mismatch data is available publicly on Companies House which is the UK Governments public database of UK based companies. These records are governed by the Companies Act 2006 and are legally required to be accurate.  We have cross referenced this data with Opencorporates which is an independent organisation collating global company data.

We have made significant efforts to detail the vulnerabilities for companies and published this information on our company list page. To do this we have viewed the PDF filings found on each Companies House record and compared it to the searchable name history displayed in the companies overview section documenting the discrepancies. We have done this to the best of our ability but the data should be independently verified for corroboration and accuracy.

We have used PERMA.CC which is a tool developed by Harvard Law to capture time stamped links to the records of the vulnerable companies to mitigate risks of future manipulation. These are available on our activity log.

Please note that legal proceedings are required to prove crimes under UK law and we do not carry out any kind of criminal investigations or law enforcement activities.

1. We have analysed thousands of companies and identified over 100 vulnerable companies

2. We have concentrated our resources on pre digitisation records and found massive inconsistencies in vulnerability rate by industry.

3. We analysed all active banks created between 1850 and 1980 and found a 55% mismatch detection rate with only some smaller banks being filed correctly. This is serious as it shows systemic risks that endanger trillions of pounds of reserves.

4. We analysed central banks between 1850 and 2010 and found a 0% mismatch detection rate.

5. We analysed Life insurance companies formed between 1850 and 1980 and found a 20% mismatch detection rate.

6. The vulnerabilities are a serious risk as they can bypass KYC and AML checks by authorities, regulators and service providers.

7. Companies House has recently gained additional powers through the  Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act which was introduced to address fraud and systemic issues.

Activity Log

We have launched an AI Powered scanner to automate vulnerability detecting. The entire project is open sourced on GitHub - 03/12/2025

We are mapping director networks showing clear connection between vulnerable companies and archived this data using Perma.cc - 30/10/2025

We have analysed thousands of companies archiving vulnerable companies using perma.cc - 30/11/2025

We have analysed over 1,500 companies and began archiving the data using Perma.cc. - 25/09/2025

vulnerabilities were identified on the companies house register using open source information techniques. Extensive manual efforts were then taken to analyse the data. - 18/04/2025
